Electrical safety projects

Ensuring safer facilities through comprehensive electrical safety assessments.

Southern Glazers Headquarters

Las Vegas, NV

Existing offices and warehouse needed to gain safety compliance on their electrical distribution equipment.

Because the client did not have any drawings or written information, CPC physically collected all data, including utility data, switchboards, panelboards, breakers, wire size and length to perform the arc-flash study.
CPC installed warning labels with all pertinent safety
information and updated the breaker settings to reflect the best available settings.

EBAY Distribution Facility

North Las Vegas, NV

Facility needed to update the arc-flash study since they had added significant electrical distribution equipment.
These studies are required by NFPA 70E and OSHA standards every five years or when electrical system upgrades occur.
CPC collected necessary data and performed the study. Warning labels were installed and breaker settings were updated to optimize electrical safety and efficiency.

Other projects

CPC has worked on several projects with a similar scope.
Each facility has electrical distribution equipment as well as material handling equipment. There can be dozens or thousands of pieces of equipment, depending on the type of facility.
CPC identifies the potential hazards on each piece of equipment and creates a detailed Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedure that isolates all of the potential energy hazards.
These LOTOs are printed on waterproof paper and hung for maintenance personnel to follow for safe operation and maintenance.
CPC also gathers all pertinent data for arc-flash studies, performs electrical engineering analysis of each piece of equipment, and provide WARNING labels.
Breakers are then set according to the studies for optimized safety and efficiency.
